TKQMA Transponder Location

I. National Rule:
  1. From the front bumper, 40-44 inches back either left or right side,no greater than 6
    inches from the bottom of the frame rail to the top of the transponder within the nerf bar.

II. In accordance with the above National guidelines,
TKQMA has further defined the rule as follows:

  1. The transponder should be mounted vertically (the numbers should be able to be read
    top to bottom) with the forward most edge of the transponder (not bracket) between 40-
    44 inches to the leading edge of the bumper.
  2. The top of the transponder shall be no more than 6 inches from the bottom of the frame
    rail of the car.
  3. The transponder is defined as the yellow area, not to include the top of the mounting
    loop or the bottom insert.
  4. The transponder must be mounted outside of the car on either the left or right side.
